The School of the SEA (Sea and Earth Advocates) is an experiential learning center focusing on the principles of marine conservation and of sustainable living. This was founded by the Law of Nature Foundation (LNF) in 2002. For the past several years, it has been very instrumental in changing the mindsets, attitudes, and practices of its student-visitors. It has been able to reach out to at least eight thousand participants, youth, teachers, lawyers, young professionals, LGU officials, and many more.

An eco-friendly philosophy can be adapted easily, and a lot of people are taking to the ecofriendly lifestyle - seen in their use of the many types of "green bags" when grocery shopping or going through their day-to-day activities.

With the invitation to 'switch off' extended to everyone, Earth Hour quickly became an annual global event. It's scheduled on the last Saturday of every March - closely coinciding with the equinox to ensure most cities are in darkness as it rolled out around the Earth. In 2011, the challenge became going Beyond the Hour - which is an invitation to further commit to lasting action on climate change

On 12 June 2011, Habagat Outdoor Equipment and the citizens of Cebu City celebrated Independence Day in a different way.

Seeking freedom from pollution, noise, aggression, and congestion brought about by the overwhelming number of motorized vehicles plaguing the city – men, women, and children occupied the whole length of Osmeña Boulevard in the act that started the ROAD REVOLUTION CEBU.

At 6 AM that Sunday, people from various sectors walked, jogged, ran, and rode mountain bikes, folding bikes, scooters, in-line skates, skateboards, and longboards from the Capitol all the way to Plaza Independencia to deliver a petition to the Cebu City Council.

Witnessed by DENR-7 Regional Director Maximo Dichoso and National Youth Council Representative Leon Flores, Councilor Edu Rama received the petition that contained the signatures of more than 10,000 people who are asking for bike lanes, better sidewalks and pedestrian lanes, edible green gardens, and a locally-made mass transit system with a renewable energy source – things that will eventually lead to a cleaner environment and independence from the use of fossil fuel.

Closed to motorized vehicles from 4 AM until 8 PM, Osmeña Boulevard bore witness to skateboard competitions just outside the Crown Regency Hotel; capoeira and parkour demonstrations at Fuente Osmeña; and folding bike mini-races in front of Cebu Doctors’ University.

Headed by world-renown environmental lawyer, Atty. Tony Oposa, and presented by the Law of Nature Foundation, Philippine Earth Justice Center, and 350.ORG, the Road Revolution Cebu was supported by School of the SEA, Habagat Outdoor Equipment, T.W.O., Rhipstop, Cebu Folding Bike Society, Fly Fish Longboarders, along with other companies, organizations, and outdoor groups.

At 6 PM that same day, OZ Racing spearheaded the Independence Night Ride which took bikers through main thoroughfares and heritage areas around the city. On low riders, vintage bikes, mountain bikes, folding bikes, BMX bikes – the 1,000 plus-strong night riders went on to cherish the last few hours of closure and pedaled through Osmeña Boulevard.

Marshals from Cebu Folding Bike Society and Habagat Outdoor Equipment guided the riders, while an ERUF Medical Team rode behind the cyclists.

The evening culminated in a program at The Outpost in Lahug, where raffle prizes and special awards were given away.
