The School of the SEA (Sea and Earth Advocates) is an experiential learning center focusing on the principles of marine conservation and of sustainable living. This was founded by the Law of Nature Foundation (LNF) in 2002. For the past several years, it has been very instrumental in changing the mindsets, attitudes, and practices of its student-visitors. It has been able to reach out to at least eight thousand participants, youth, teachers, lawyers, young professionals, LGU officials, and many more.

An eco-friendly philosophy can be adapted easily, and a lot of people are taking to the ecofriendly lifestyle - seen in their use of the many types of "green bags" when grocery shopping or going through their day-to-day activities.

With the invitation to 'switch off' extended to everyone, Earth Hour quickly became an annual global event. It's scheduled on the last Saturday of every March - closely coinciding with the equinox to ensure most cities are in darkness as it rolled out around the Earth. In 2011, the challenge became going Beyond the Hour - which is an invitation to further commit to lasting action on climate change
BIKE4U FUN RIDE

Agel – together with The Outpost, Habagat Outdoor Equipment, and the Cebu Folding Bike Society – held the Bike4U Fun Ride on 25 June 2011 for the benefit of the Bike4U Foundation.

Around 350 bikers, on various kinds of bikes, cycled around Cebu City for a common and noble cause. The fund ride started and ended at The Outpost in Lahug, where participants were treated to live music, as well as raffle prizes from the sponsors.

Via the 50-peso registration fee, bikers donated their money, time, and efforts to a foundation that has given and continues to give second-hand bicycles to school children in far-flung municipalities. Beneficiaries can then use the bikes for going to and from school, or for helping their parents with their livelihood.

Jens Funk and Martin Langevoord – a.k.a the Bugoy Bikers; and authors of the bike trail guidebook, Cycling Philippines – started the foundation, based on the belief: “A bike should be a right, not a privilege.”

With donors “buying” the kilometers that they cover on their bike tours, they have donated more than 60,000 pesos by biking on the Roof of The World â€“ Karakoram Highway in 2006; from Ilocos Sur, through Sierra Madre, to Isabela – the widest part of Luzon in 2007; through the whole of Mongolia in 2008; and on the Pamir Highway â€“ Tajikistan in 2009.
